Korean Language~~한국어~2

Korean Language~~한국어~2

Hi~~~^^

Today let's go on with the explanation of the basis...>}

I will show u how to build a sentence xDxD even if it can seems though, with a bit of practice (since the order of words is different from English word..and resembles a little bit to German order of words).

Here we go!

  1. SENTENCE ORDER~
A sentence can be create following 3 ways...:

SUBJECT + NOUN
SUBJECT + VERB
SUBJECT + ADJECTIVE
SUBJECT + OBJECT + VERB

NB: The tense of the sentence is determinated by the end of it: noun, verb, adjective, or verb.

For example: to go....went...
good....was good...

in Korean :

to go = 가다 (ka)...went = 갔다 (katta)
good = 좋다 (choda)...was good = 촣았다 (choatta)

Anyway...these will be explained better later~

In Korean, to distinguish subject or object u should use some particles, that explain the function:
  • 는 & 은 (introduce a topic)
는 is used for nouns without a final consonant, and 은 for nouns with a final consonant.
EX: (consonant+vowel) 사람. (i am a person) ~na nun sa ram un
그는 친절하다 ~ geu nun tchin chor ha da (he is kind)

  • 가 & 이
가 can be used to express who did the action, while u can use 는 to express the action.

for example ~ 내가 샀다 = i bought smth. (the attention is focused on who did the action)
난 샀다 = i bought = the attention is focused on the fact that i bought rather than doing smth)

가 is used for words without a final consonant and 이 for words with a final consonant.

for example ~ 민지가 왔다 = Min-ji came

or

동생이 먹었다 = younger sister ate.

Korean Language~~한국어~~1

Korean Language~~한국어~~

The Korean Language is a very scientific language:
  • 21vowels
  • 19consonants

~invented in 1443 by King Sejong the Great during Chosung dinasty.

  1. Vowels:

ㅏ   =  a                                              ㅑ  = ya
ㅓ   =  eo                                            ㅕ  = yo
ㅗ   =  o                                              ㅛ  = yo
ㅜ   =  o *like to say boo*                     ㅠ  = yu

ㅡ   =  eu                                            ㅒ = ya
ㅣ   =  i                                               ㅖ = ye
ㅔ   = eeh

ㅢ   = ui
ㅚ   =weh
ㅟ   = wi
ㅐ   =  eh

ㅘ  = wa
ㅝ  = wo
ㅙ = wae
ㅞ = whe

~Consonants

ㄱ = k   *not strong*
ㄴ = n
ㄷ = t   *(d~t)
ㄸ = tt
ㄹ = r   *r~l
ㅁ = m
ㅂ = ph
ㅃ= pp
ㅅ = s

ㅆ= ss
ㅇ = ng

ㅈ = ch
ㅉ= jj
ㅊ = tch
ㅋ = K    *strong and aspirated
ㅌ = t     *aspirated
ㅍ = p    *aspirated
ㅎ = h    *aspirated

To combine and form words u just need to put together consonants and vowels...
example:

(k+a= ka), 나 (n+a= na), 다 (d+a = da), 라 (r+a= ra), 마 (m+a= ma),바 (p+a =pa), 사 (s+a = sa), 하 (h+a =ha), 자 (ch+a =cha), 차 (tch+a =tcha), 카 (kk+a =kka), 타 (t+a =ta), 파(ph+a =pha)...

Once these u have memoriezed these symbols..it will be easier to read and create sentences.
That's all for today!

See ya soon^^

친구 & Vietnamese cusine~

Pho Mein Restaurant~ 포메인

HI~~**안녕~

During a very very hot Korean day, my friend (언니) and I decided to go to play together ~ we went shopping, hanging around the city, cafe etc...after that..since it was really so hot and we were a bit hungry~ ^^ We decided to try something different from the Korean food: ......Vietnam cusine....

{actually I was a bit skeptick about that kind of food, since I have never tried that kind of cusine, but it was not as bad as it seemed}

We got to the franchise restaurant called: Pho Mein ~ 포메인.
The interior looks very cosy and elegant, made by the black furnitures.
After checking the menu we went for the so called ~ Pho mein's Pho~포메인 쌀국수, even if they have a wide range of noodles soup.

As soon as we sit the staff brought us water *in Korea water is free* and even green tea in a small cup~ but very tasty~

FINALLY WE GOT OUR NOODLES!

홍두깨
Various of Boiled Beef Pho = 10.000won ~7 Euros

The broth was really hot ㅋㅋㅋㅋand the meat was well cooked, not spicy thankfully and the onion that was inside did not was too much strong. The thing that I did not like so much was ..the noodles..their texture was totally different from the Korean or Japanese ones. This kind of noodles were very thick and not so tasty.
Moreover, they also bring you some side dishes like, vegetables, soy, sauces etc...

It was good day~^^&^^

See u to the next post!!!

WARA~WARA!

와라오라~ Wara Wara hand cooked dining pub!

안녕~^^))Hi everyone~

In Korea a pretty good pub I went for drinking and eating smth after dinner, during the hanging out is called: Warawara~ it is a franchise too, and u can find it in everyplace in Korea...from Sincheon to Gangnam etc..
In there the prices are averages~ between 10.000won and 20.000won.

They have some good points~

  • You can enjoy time with ur buddies and drink with them without any issues, even though is not the common HOF BAR...
  • It has so many kind of drinking: sakes, soju, KGB, beers, makgeolli, cocktails..
  • If u like cheese dishes u can easily find them in here.

Since it is a pub is compulsory when u go in order not booze but at least one alcoholic drink. Furthemore u will be asked to show ur ID Card.

I have been here some times and actually I found it pretty nice place..even though it can seems a bit noisy bcos of the very loud music.
At the table u can find free french fries, made with sweet potatoes ~ 거고마~ very yummy 냠냠!

ㅋㅋㅋ and then u can order checking the menu.
The best thing of WARAWARA is the drinking..KGB..that is fruit flavoured soju, very very sweet. I recommend it bcos it is not such alcoholic ^^

*Flavoured soju~
