Korean Language~~한국어~~1

Korean Language~~한국어~~

The Korean Language is a very scientific language:
  • 21vowels
  • 19consonants

~invented in 1443 by King Sejong the Great during Chosung dinasty.

  1. Vowels:

ㅏ   =  a                                              ㅑ  = ya
ㅓ   =  eo                                            ㅕ  = yo
ㅗ   =  o                                              ㅛ  = yo
ㅜ   =  o *like to say boo*                     ㅠ  = yu

ㅡ   =  eu                                            ㅒ = ya
ㅣ   =  i                                               ㅖ = ye
ㅔ   = eeh

ㅢ   = ui
ㅚ   =weh
ㅟ   = wi
ㅐ   =  eh

ㅘ  = wa
ㅝ  = wo
ㅙ = wae
ㅞ = whe

~Consonants

ㄱ = k   *not strong*
ㄴ = n
ㄷ = t   *(d~t)
ㄸ = tt
ㄹ = r   *r~l
ㅁ = m
ㅂ = ph
ㅃ= pp
ㅅ = s

ㅆ= ss
ㅇ = ng

ㅈ = ch
ㅉ= jj
ㅊ = tch
ㅋ = K    *strong and aspirated
ㅌ = t     *aspirated
ㅍ = p    *aspirated
ㅎ = h    *aspirated

To combine and form words u just need to put together consonants and vowels...
example:

(k+a= ka), 나 (n+a= na), 다 (d+a = da), 라 (r+a= ra), 마 (m+a= ma),바 (p+a =pa), 사 (s+a = sa), 하 (h+a =ha), 자 (ch+a =cha), 차 (tch+a =tcha), 카 (kk+a =kka), 타 (t+a =ta), 파(ph+a =pha)...

Once these u have memoriezed these symbols..it will be easier to read and create sentences.
That's all for today!

See ya soon^^

As you know Kimbap (김밥>김 is the dried seaweed, and 밥 is rice),

is the traditional Korean food..and is a well~known food even abroad. Basically, it is made following the sushi style but, there is one difference!
Sushi rolls are filled with raw fish...Kimbap is filled with meat or veggies. Kimbap is like the Korean version of a sandwich- you can change the filling to fit any diet, palate, or occasion.

I tried to eat it in a Korean restaurant in Seoul, and it was sooo good and tasty. There are so many kind of kimbap u can choose not just *meat* and usually they serve even side dishes..etc..

Don-t they look tasty???~~

In alternative u can also do the filling with other ingredients such as...

친구 & Vietnamese cusine~

Pho Mein Restaurant~ 포메인

HI~~**안녕~

During a very very hot Korean day, my friend (언니) and I decided to go to play together ~ we went shopping, hanging around the city, cafe etc...after that..since it was really so hot and we were a bit hungry~ ^^ We decided to try something different from the Korean food: ......Vietnam cusine....

{actually I was a bit skeptick about that kind of food, since I have never tried that kind of cusine, but it was not as bad as it seemed}

We got to the franchise restaurant called: Pho Mein ~ 포메인.
The interior looks very cosy and elegant, made by the black furnitures.
After checking the menu we went for the so called ~ Pho mein's Pho~포메인 쌀국수, even if they have a wide range of noodles soup.

As soon as we sit the staff brought us water *in Korea water is free* and even green tea in a small cup~ but very tasty~

FINALLY WE GOT OUR NOODLES!

홍두깨
Various of Boiled Beef Pho = 10.000won ~7 Euros

The broth was really hot ㅋㅋㅋㅋand the meat was well cooked, not spicy thankfully and the onion that was inside did not was too much strong. The thing that I did not like so much was ..the noodles..their texture was totally different from the Korean or Japanese ones. This kind of noodles were very thick and not so tasty.
Moreover, they also bring you some side dishes like, vegetables, soy, sauces etc...

It was good day~^^&^^

See u to the next post!!!

WARA~WARA!

와라오라~ Wara Wara hand cooked dining pub!

안녕~^^))Hi everyone~

In Korea a pretty good pub I went for drinking and eating smth after dinner, during the hanging out is called: Warawara~ it is a franchise too, and u can find it in everyplace in Korea...from Sincheon to Gangnam etc..
In there the prices are averages~ between 10.000won and 20.000won.

They have some good points~

  • You can enjoy time with ur buddies and drink with them without any issues, even though is not the common HOF BAR...
  • It has so many kind of drinking: sakes, soju, KGB, beers, makgeolli, cocktails..
  • If u like cheese dishes u can easily find them in here.

Since it is a pub is compulsory when u go in order not booze but at least one alcoholic drink. Furthemore u will be asked to show ur ID Card.

I have been here some times and actually I found it pretty nice place..even though it can seems a bit noisy bcos of the very loud music.
At the table u can find free french fries, made with sweet potatoes ~ 거고마~ very yummy 냠냠!

ㅋㅋㅋ and then u can order checking the menu.
The best thing of WARAWARA is the drinking..KGB..that is fruit flavoured soju, very very sweet. I recommend it bcos it is not such alcoholic ^^

*Flavoured soju~

해피 할로윈~~! Happy Halloween~^^

안녕하세요!!~

오늘은 할로윈 or 호박~`

Today is Halloween..and as u may know, in Korea Halloween is not considered as a real celebration,

but as time goes by it became a consumistic celebration~ usually for kids.

 In this post u can find some tips where to spend Halloween while u are in Korea, since there are tons

of events that u may join xD

Firstly, at Lotte World u can find some special dance party during

this day, and usually even for

other celebrations Lotte offers a wide range of leisure activities xD

Secondly, but not least important is spending 호박 at Everland in Yongin, around 1hour far from

Seoul, but it-s bigger than Lotte and u can surely have more fun.

Another creepy activity u can do is *not for Halloween night though* join to the Seoul Zombie Walk

that is held on 26th October, it starts from Boraemae Park...and all people can dress up or make up as

much scary as possible ㅎㅎㅎㅎ

Or even clubs in Korea offer some Halloween nights~

Here some of the link that u can check!~

Have nice & scary Halloween night!

See u~

서울숲 - a magic corner^^

Hi everyone ^=^

Here is another post...this time is about a corner of paradise as I call this place.

I'm talking about the Seoul Forest (서울숲)!

One day me and my friend decided to go out,hanging out at Hanriver, shopping, watching movie, dinner...  but before we decided go to see the forest, since I've never been there before. In Seoul there are lots lots of parks and they are free! You can go there: walking or some have kind of zoo inside, games like small rollercoasters made for kids etx...

We chose the wrong day haha it was rainy and we spent all day walking under the heavy rain. Anyway, it was really good day and had fun.

The Forest is located in  Seongdong-gu , so to go there, we took the Bundang Line - Seoul Forest Station followed  EXIT 3 , then go straight until you get to the large street and turn left. Cross the street and you are arrived!
It is so huge, and at the entrance gate you can choose where to go, you can choose to see : insects place, (ewwww) little deers place >3<  ,  other paths or kids games...

After that we went to Hanriver and to see the DDM plaza. Finally it was time to go to cinema watching : "the fault in our stars" very touching movie.

Shin Ramyun

Hello^^ Let's talk about food ^=^

The most common Korean students food and ...not only is the ramyun!

They eat is wether they are in office, in University, or at home during nightime if

they feel hungry.

Although it's not the healthiest food, and though is very kaloric (140kcal) I

decided to buy

a cup of this kind of Ramyun for trying and even because after some time spent

in there I begun starting to behave like them kkkk

Btw...I tried the Shin Ramyun, very famous, but also so spicy! In the cup you

can find some wooden chopsticks, dehydrated veggies, beef chips, togheter with

a red powder,  all in a small wrap.

Be careful if you can't stand spicy food..just add some not add the whole powder!! U may regret!

Here are the steps for the preparation:

-open the cup without removing the label totally,

-boil the water,

-pour the water inside the cup and try to close it with its label again,

- wait 3minutes

Ready to eat ^^))
